Qualified Massage Therapist (2 required)
 

Our busy award-winning Day Spa is experiencing unprecedented growth, and we require two massage therapists to work in our world-class Spa.

 

This position requires individuals to be specialists in Traditional Thai Massage and/or Thai Medicinal Massage Certified by the Thai Government Ministry of Health or Education along with at least 3 years of relevant experience to work 35 hours a week at a minimum of $30.00 (maximum $32.00) per hour in our Christchurch spa.

 

You must have a pleasant, helpful attitude, excellent work ethic, and professional presentation and be prepared to work flexible hours plus have strong English language skills and preferably be bilingual in Thai language. Extra massage or facial skills would be an advantage.

 

Job Description – Key Responsibilities being:

• Assess needs of client/s by interview, movement observation, injury background, & or specific activity.

• If the client has injury or rehabilitation needs; then plan a specific program.

• Decide on add-on activities to enhance the program e.g., infra-heat, oil, or herbal interventions.

• Provide essential massage programs for specific client needs.

• Provide relaxation or stress reduction actions for casual clients.

• If sports massage therapy, then plan accordingly for sport recovery and/or sport preparation.

• Attend all staff meetings as required by Spa Manager.

 

Applicants must hold Certificates in Thai Massage Therapies. We offer permanent work and competitive pay and are open seven days, requiring you to work weekends.
